Duration of Gas Supply Halt via ‘TurkStream’ Confirmed
The supply of Russian gas through the ‘TurkStream’ pipeline will be halted from June 5 to June 12 due to the annual planned maintenance of the pipeline. Meanwhile, gas continues to flow from Russia to Turkey via another pipeline, the ‘Blue Stream,’ which was repaired in the second half of May. This information was reported by TASS, citing Gazprom.
Gazprom noted that the planned technical service had been agreed upon in advance with all interested parties.
The ‘Blue Stream’ was commissioned in early 2003, with a design capacity of 16 billion cubic meters of gas per year and a total length of 1,213 kilometers. The ‘TurkStream’ gas pipeline consists of two branches, one intended for Turkish consumers and the other for supplying gas to countries in Southern and Southeastern Europe.
