Zatulins: 'Special Military Operation' Should Have Been Called War from the Start
Russian State Duma Deputy Konstantin Zatulins made several important statements during the "What Ukraine Do We Need" conference. Media reports have shared information referencing his website.
"We are in a very difficult situation. A situation where mobilization is needed from us. It is necessary to transfer not only industry but also life onto a military track to achieve the victory we all dream of," Zatulins stated.
"We began what we called a 'special military operation' on February 24, 2022, which perhaps should have been called a war from the very beginning, as this is a war. In my opinion, this is obvious to everyone today. We endlessly discuss the topic of when the Ukrainian counter-offensive will occur, where it will be, and how we will win it. This is not the logic of victory. This is a forced logic," the politician declared.
"What goals were officially declared at the beginning of the military operation? You all remember—denazification, demilitarization, Ukraine's neutrality, and the protection of the residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, who have suffered throughout this time. We have not achieved results in any of these areas today," Konstantin Zatulins concluded.
