Woman who Jumped from 6th Floor with Child was a Journalist and Blogger, Recently Returned from Bali

On June 1, a criminal case was initiated following an incident in which a woman jumped from a building in Yerevan with her young child.

Residents of the area told Auroranews that the deceased woman was engaged in journalism and blogging. She had received a marriage proposal during a live broadcast on Public Television. Recently, she had returned from Bali, where she had lived for five months, and celebrated her 29th birthday about a month ago.

It is noted that the Investigative Committee reported that on June 1, 2023, at 12:25 p.m., a report was received by the operational management center of the RA Police, indicating that a mother and child had fallen from one of the floors of a building on Svachyan Street in Yerevan.

It was revealed that a 29-year-old resident of the Southwest district of Yerevan, visiting the specified building on Svachyan Street on the 6th floor, committed suicide by jumping out of the bedroom window with her approximately 11-month-old son. Later that same day, the Saint Astvatsamayr Medical Center reported that the child, who had been transported from the scene, had not regained consciousness and had died.
