Wall of Metro Station "Republic Square" Damaged

During construction work at one of the newly built buildings on Tigran Mets Avenue, the wall of the Yerevan Metro's "Republic Square" station was damaged. The spokesperson for the metro, Tatev Khachatryan, told Radar Armenia that a minor rockfall occurred, rather than a collapse of the wall.

According to her, the incident was recorded by the metro's preservation department, and an investigation has been appointed. Following this, it will be decided whether the construction work on the building will continue or not. Meanwhile, construction has been halted.
