Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Near Kursk

The Governor of Russia's Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, has announced the destruction of several Ukrainian drones. In a message posted on his Telegram channel during the night of June 2, he stated that the drones were shot down by the air defense system near Kursk, according to RTVI.

"We urge the residents of Kursk to remain calm; the city is under the reliable protection of our military. If you discover any suspicious objects, please report to 112," stated the regional leader.

Baza reports that Kursk was shelled during the night. The channel reported about an "unidentified object" that struck a five-story residential building on Soyuznaya Street. Baza has published images of the damaged entrance and a long object found nearby.

On the evening of June 1, Governor Starovoit spoke about a drone attack in Kursk. According to him, the drone dropped munitions on a substation, resulting in a power outage in the village of Gogolevka.
