VIDEO: "Security Issues Are a Priority" Says Avinyan
"We should not have an emergency school in Yerevan as such," said Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan during the session of the School Council, responding to a question from a student of School No. 50 about what the hydroponic greenhouse will bring to her school when it is in a state of emergency.
"When we talk about infrastructure changes, security issues are the most important for us. The greenhouse and other things are simply additions. Security issues are a priority. Unfortunately, today, the Yerevan Municipality is still not addressing the renovation of schools. The municipality is focused on the renovation of kindergartens and building new ones," Avinyan clarified, noting that this year, 22 kindergartens will be renovated, 33 next year, and 35 in 2025, with 4 new kindergartens to be built, and after that, there will be no kindergartens in need of renovation.
