VIDEO: Macron Leaves Questions on Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict Unanswered
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, left questions regarding the resolution of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan unanswered during the opening ceremony of the second summit of the European Political Community in Moldova.
Earlier, it was reported that a five-party meeting is scheduled to take place within the framework of this summit, which will include Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, French President Emmanuel Macron, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. The meeting will occur at 16:30 Yerevan time.
It’s worth recalling that last year, after the first European Political Community summit in Prague on October 6, a quadrilateral meeting took place between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, European Council President Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. On the same day, the leaders of Armenia and Turkey also met.
Furthermore, while there were 44 participating countries at the summit in Prague, this time their number has increased to 47.
