How Much Bonus Will Rescue Workers and Deputy Directors of the Emergency Service Receive?

The government approved the amounts of bonuses for the deputy directors of the Rescue Service and rescue workers, based on the results of their certification, during its meeting today, June 1.

The justification for this decision states that considering the existing challenges within the scope of the Rescue Service’s functions, it is necessary to enhance the service with qualified, knowledgeable, and ethical personnel, thereby making the rescue service more attractive.

If this decision is adopted, it will increase the social guarantees for rescue workers.

As a result of implementing a new certification system, bonuses will be calculated for rescue workers and deputy directors of the Rescue Service, and the relationships concerning the amount of the bonus and the rules for its allocation will be regulated by the presented draft.

At the same time, it is proposed to set the corresponding bonus amount based on the certification evaluation: for a rating of “Excellent,” the amount specified in the table; for a rating of “Good,” around 75% of the corresponding amount; and for a rating of “Satisfactory,” around 50% of the corresponding amount.

In the case of deputy directors of the Rescue Service, it is proposed to establish a bonus of 200,000 AMD for an “Excellent” rating, 75% of this amount for a “Good” rating, and 50% of this amount for a “Satisfactory” rating.

With the adoption of the draft, the state budget will incur expenses of around 5 billion AMD over the next three years, approximately 1.7 billion AMD per year.
