From now on, drivers will have to yield to numerous officials
The government, during its meeting today on June 1, has expanded the list of vehicles required to be equipped with blue flashing lights or blue and red flashing lights. This was reported by Yerevan.today.
It is noted that the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has been granted powers to conduct criminal procedural and operative investigation activities. However, the State Revenue Committee, despite having similar functions, was not included in the list.
Also excluded from the list are vehicles of Security Council members and the chief of staff of the Prime Minister, despite the need to ensure their normal functioning. Therefore, the Anti-Corruption Committee and the State Revenue Committee's vehicles will be granted the authority to be equipped with blue flashing lights.
It was reported that the vehicles of emergency medical services, fire services, military, rescue services, and bodies ensuring law and security are considered operational service vehicles, and all types of operational service vehicles must have blue flashing lights. Additionally, it is proposed to include the vehicles of Security Council members and the chief of staff of the Prime Minister, based on the necessity to ensure their normal functioning.
