“The Internet is free in Armenia, the press is free, the elections are free,” says Pashinyan
During the Armenian Democracy Forum ongoing in Yerevan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated: “The Internet is free in Armenia, the press is free, the elections are free, but I do not want to emphasize this as anachievement or acquisition; I want to highlight it as a norm, the result of our collective efforts.”
“When we emphasized the freedom of the early elections in 2018, it was somewhat questioned what the elections would look like under different conditions. Unfortunately, those different conditions occurred, and we noted that elections under different circumstances are less democratic and free, and that is the assessment of the international community,” the Prime Minister said.
