Sinanyan on the Case of Poor Reception in the Diaspora

I approach the incident of my poor reception in the Diaspora philosophically. This was stated today, May 31, during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly by the Chief Commissioner for the Diaspora, Zareh Sinanyan.

“There are people who are dissatisfied with various issues. There are two categories of people there: one is purely political, a specific political current that was part of the previous notorious authorities and left a very bad trace behind. You should ask them why they are doing this. The other is a somewhat new phenomenon: people who were demanding back the money they had donated to the Armenia Foundation. Why they were asking for it from me, who they were, and what money and to whom they had given,” said Sinanyan.

According to him, in these circumstances, when there is political tension, there is a stratum in the Diaspora that is influenced by a specific movement or force, and he believes it is impossible that there are not people who want to express their dissatisfaction in some way. “If I find that there is a substantive problem that needs to be addressed, then I will go for it. In this case, where people come and say, ‘Give me back my money,’ there is nothing for me,” he added.
