Kyiv Prepares for Offensive This Summer: John Kirby

Ukraine is preparing to launch an offensive this summer and may rely on the rapid supply of additional armaments from the United States. This was stated by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the U.S. National Security Council, in an interview with CNN. According to RIA Novosti, he said, “We want Ukraine to have everything it needs to defend itself as it prepares to initiate offensive operations this summer… We plan to continue transferring munitions and supplying defensive systems to Ukraine throughout the summer, including in the very near future.”

In response to a question about whether the White House is aware of more specific timelines for the start of the offensive, Kirby noted that American military personnel have been in communication with their Ukrainian counterparts since the planning phase began.
