I Want Armenia to Ratify the Istanbul Convention: Andrea Victorin

I want the Istanbul Convention to be ratified. This was stated today, May 31, during the Armenian Democracy Forum held in Yerevan by Andrea Victorin, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.

“I know that there are people who will not like the sentence I just articulated, but I repeat, it is for the protection of women. I expect civil society representatives to be able to support us,” she said.

According to her, the coalition against violence against women and other organizations support the rights granted to women with disabilities. “A lot of work is being done, but that work could be much more,” she noted.
