Vachagan Ghazaryan Does Not Accept the Charges Against Him, Lawyer Says

Former head of the bodyguard service of the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, Vachagan Ghazaryan, is accused of money laundering. This was stated by his lawyer, Mher Hakobjan, in an interview with News.am.

He pointed out that Vachagan Ghazaryan does not accept the charges against him.

Mher Hakobjan stated that the basis for the court's decision to detain him is the risk of obstructing the proceedings. The lawyers disagree with the court’s decision and plan to appeal it.

Earlier, it was reported that the Anti-Corruption Court had decided to detain Vachagan Ghazaryan.
