Several Drones Shot Down Near Moscow: Authorities Provide Details
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported on his Telegram channel that there have been no casualties from the drones flying in the city. He stated that minor damages occurred in several buildings due to a drone attack on the morning of May 30.
"At this moment, no one has sustained serious injuries," the mayor wrote. He added that all emergency services are on-site and investigating the circumstances of the incident. He also urged residents to trust only official sources.
The governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Voronov, mentioned that this morning residents in some areas of the Moscow region heard the sounds of explosions when the air defense systems were activated. According to him, several drones were shot down as they approached Moscow.
