VIDEO: Clashes with Security Forces in Kosovo; Injuries Reported

Clashes have broken out in northern Kosovo between protesting Serbs and security forces, according to local media reports. As a result of the clashes, two Serbs have been injured.

It is worth noting that on the morning of May 26, Kosovo security forces arrived at the municipal administration buildings of four municipalities and attempted to seize them. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has put the Serbian army on maximum alert due to the escalation of the situation in Kosovo.

On May 28, Serbian Defense Minister Miloš Vučević announced that tensions in Kosovo had reached a peak and could escalate into an armed conflict. Today, it has also been reported that NATO forces have blocked the entrances to the municipalities in the northern region of Kosovo and Metohija.

Several hundred people have gathered near the buildings of local self-governments in the northern province, demanding the removal of the Kosovo police and the recall of the newly elected Albanian mayors.
