Pashinyan to Meet Mishustin: Russian Foreign Ministry Sets Dates

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, will hold negotiations with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin, from June 7-9. According to Alpha News, the information was shared during a roundtable involving Armenian experts in Moscow by Sergey Paltov, the Deputy Director of the 4th Department for the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.

During those days, the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the CIS, as well as the Eurasian Congress will take place.

“From June 7-9, Mishustin will host Nikol Pashinyan. It is possible that something will happen here; I don't know,” he stated, adding that a document on unblocking communications in the region is already prepared, with a few technical issues remaining.

The diplomat noted that he has seen the document several times, and only minor edits will be made. “But for now, the parties cannot make the final step. I hope that in a week, everything will move on to some practical level, and it is possible that our leaders will meet again,” he concluded.

Referring to the meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia on May 25 in Moscow, Paltov mentioned that the conversation, which he attended personally, was constructive. According to him, Pashinyan and Putin spoke for more than two hours.
