The high leadership of Armenia is at the Sardarapat Memorial.

It should be noted that May 28 is the day of the First Republic of Armenia. On May 28, 1918, following the collapse of the Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic in Tbilisi, the Armenian Republic was proclaimed by the "Armenian National Council". The first Prime Minister of independent Armenia became Hovhannes Kachaznuni. The national flag of Armenia was adopted as a tricolor: red, blue, and orange. On the anniversary of independence, on May 28, 1919, the government, led by Alexander Khatisyan, declared Armenia an Independent and United Republic.
