Therapists Falsified Vaccination Data for 8 Individuals Against Covid-19
The investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee of Armenia has concluded regarding the therapists of the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center" LLC, who allegedly falsified information about the vaccination against the Covid-19 pandemic for several individuals who were actually absent from Armenia and had not received vaccinations.
From June to September 2021, two therapists affiliated with the outpatient clinic of the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center" acted as healthcare workers conducting medical examinations prior to vaccinations. They made false entries in the outpatient medical records of numerous citizens, stating that these individuals had undergone medical examinations deemed necessary for vaccination against the Covid-19 pandemic and were found to be healthy. However, it was established that these individuals had left Armenia; thus, they were not physically present in the country during the times of the vaccinations and could not have been examined or vaccinated.
As a result, false information about their vaccinations against Covid-19 was entered into the "ARMED" system, granting these citizens the ability to avoid restrictions imposed in Armenia and abroad due to their unvaccinated status.
The investigation also revealed that one of the therapists, upon learning about the intention of the investigative body to seize the outpatient medical record filled in the name of one of the citizens, removed the page containing the false entries from the medical record and replaced it with a new one. In this new entry, the therapist again made false statements regarding the medical examination of the mentioned citizen but did not include the unsigned note on the reverse side of the page he removed that stated, "no post-vaccination complications."
Based on sufficient evidence, one of the therapists from the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center" LLC has been charged under Article 457, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (7 episodes), and the other under the same article (1 episode). A prevention measure of banning absence has been selected for them. The preliminary investigation concerning them has been completed, and the case materials have been sent to the supervising prosecutor for approval and submission to the court. The investigation regarding other healthcare workers and individuals is still ongoing.
