Significant Changes Expected in Armenia's Diplomatic Corps

Significant changes are expected in Armenia's diplomatic corps, particularly among diplomats serving in key European countries, according to the newspaper 'Hraparak'.

According to our sources, Hovhannes Igityan, who is assigned to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, will be recalled. We could not ascertain whether he will be assigned to another country or if there are complaints about his performance, leading to his return to Armenia.

Furthermore, Ambassador Alexander Arzumanyan, who is currently serving in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland, will also be reassigned. He is expected to be appointed as the ambassador to Poland, which is now considered a more important post than the Scandinavian countries.

Ara Margaryan, who has worked for six months at the Armenian Embassy in the USA, will be appointed as the ambassador to Lithuania.

Another transfer involves Tigran Balayan, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Netherlands and Luxembourg, who will move to Brussels, indicating high confidence in Kim Balayan's son, who holds oppositional views.

Further changes are also planned in the diplomatic corps, which we will address in the near future.
