Protest Held Near Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Building
A protest has taken place near the building of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, organized by the relatives of believers arrested on charges of illegal drug trafficking. They raised portraits of the detainees, declaring their innocence.
One participant of the action informed Turan that, although charges have officially been filed related to drugs, the detainees are being interrogated regarding possible connections with Iran.
The police did not intervene in the course of the action, but advised the protesters to approach the administration's reception. Ultimately, the protesters were seated on a bus and removed from the area.
The publication reminds that recently more than 100 believers have been detained, whom they present as agents of Iranian special services.
