Artsakh Cannot Be Recognized as Part of Azerbaijan by Any Entity, Especially by the Armenian Government: Statement
The Central Council of German Armenians expresses support for the statement of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, asserting that the Republic of Artsakh cannot be recognized as part of Azerbaijan by any entity, especially by the authorities of the Republic of Armenia. This was announced by the administration of the Central Council of German Armenians.
“The status of Artsakh has already been determined by the popular expression of will on December 10, 1991, which derives from the UN resolution on the 'right to self-determination of peoples and nations,' and no authority has the right to contest it. By this commitment, Nikol Pashinyan is, in fact, violating the provisions of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia regarding Artsakh, since according to the decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia on July 8, 1992, it is deemed unacceptable for the Republic of Armenia to recognize any international or domestic document that mentions the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan,” the administration wrote.
The administration of the Central Council of German Armenians has called on the Armenian community to unite around the right to self-determination of Artsakh and the protection of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia, and to prevent the current authorities of Armenia from conceding the Republic of Artsakh and the sovereign territories of Armenia to Azerbaijan.
“Only through the unification of the entire Armenian community can a victorious exit from this difficult situation be achieved; otherwise, disastrous consequences for the Armenian statehood will be inevitable,” they declared.
