VIDEO. Putin and Aliyev Meet

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a bilateral meeting on May 25 in Moscow as part of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) Supreme Council.

Putin stated that the level of relations between Azerbaijan and EEU countries is serious and profound, and this should continue in the future, as the potential for regional cooperation is significant, as reported by RIA Novosti.

He expressed hope that this will continue going forward.

It should be noted that this is Aliyev's first participation in the EEU Supreme Council meeting. Putin thanked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for not obstructing Aliyev's arrival at the EEU meeting.
