Proposal to Suspend Fine for Vehicle Glass Transparency Violation: Arakelyan

Mesrop Arakelyan, co-founder of the 'Living Country' party, has announced on his Facebook page: 'I have approached the Minister of Internal Affairs with a proposal to suspend the fines imposed for violations regarding the transparency of front side vehicle windows, considering that Article 123 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Armenia stipulates that the allowable levels of transparency for windows and windows with external tinting are determined by the government of Armenia.'

He also added that the government decision No. 289-N dated February 24, 2005, which approved the technical regulations for safe glass used in ground transport vehicles, lost its validity on January 13, 2022, with decision No. 27-N. 'Therefore, regulations established by other legal acts cannot result in fines, as there are no such regulations in the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Armenia, and it is necessary to adopt a government decision or amend the law,' wrote Arakelyan.
