Five Moldovan Citizens to Face EU Sanctions

The European Union is working on a sanctions list that is set to impose restrictive measures on five Moldovan citizens, EUobserver reported on Wednesday.

According to Brussels media outlets that have seen the preparatory document, the "blacklist" will be headed by Ilan Shor, the president of the Shor Party, along with Marina Tauber, the party's vice president, and former leader of the Moldovan Democratic Party, oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc. Additionally, two more Moldovan citizens will be included in the list.

All of them are accused of actions that destabilize the Republic of Moldova, EUobserver writes.
