Call to Take Measures to Prevent the Signing of a National Catastrophe Document: Appeal from Javakhk to the RA National Assembly
Several organizations and individuals from Javakhk have addressed the members of three factions of the RA National Assembly, calling for a vote of no confidence against Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the government.
“Dear Members of Parliament, We, representatives of public organizations and individual figures operating in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, are closely monitoring the events occurring around Artsakh and Armenia, and we express our deep concern regarding the approaches expressed by the President of the European Council Charles Michel in Brussels, and by the Prime Minister of Armenia in Reykjavik and at the press conference on May 22 regarding the recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.”
“We, the undersigned, believe that Nikol Pashinyan is not authorized and has no authority to make agreements or promises regarding the negotiations surrounding Artsakh and Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement that contradict the principles established and repeatedly stated under the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, violate the provisions of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Constitution, as well as the commitments undertaken by the Supreme Council of Armenia on July 8, 1992.”
The Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem does not even hide its ambitions towards Armenia and other states in the region and will not be satisfied with the concessions of the Armenian side, continually imposing new concessions.
“Dear Members of Parliament, we call on you to take measures to prevent the signing of the national catastrophe document anticipated by the Prime Minister and to initiate a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister and the government.”
“Dear Members of Parliament, we request that this appeal be read at the upcoming full session of the National Assembly.”
Sincerely, Artak Gabrielyan - Coordinator of the Council of Armenian Public Organizations of Samtskhe-Javakheti Alexan Toroyan - Director of the Akhalkalaki Hospital Stepan Hakobyan - President of the 'Javakhk' Public Organization Davit Rstakyan - President of the 'Virk' Party Azat Shipaktsyan - President of the Union of Intellectuals of Javakhk Mikhail Kolikidi - President of the 'Patrida' Union of Greeks of Samtskhe-Javakheti Samvel Petrosyan - President of the 'Movement for Justice' Organization.
