Why Hambardzum Matevosyan Was Appointed As Prime Minister's Advisor: Revelations
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that new information has emerged regarding the appointment of former Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan to his new position. It is known that on November 4, 2022, the "Civil Contract" faction officially confirmed that the administrative elections were rigged. As a result, the head of the ruling faction, Hayk Konjoryan, and the then Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan were excluded from the administration, while the new administration included MP Arsen Torosyan and Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan.
According to information from "Zhoghovurd," before the recount of ballots, when it was already clear that Hambardzum Matevosyan was one of the main actors in the fraud, he stood up and stated that he would concede his place to Arsen Torosyan, emphasizing that it was not worth making noise to prevent the disgrace from being uncovered. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated Matevosyan's action, stating that such a display of self-sacrifice for the sake of the party's reputation is very important and should be valued. Shortly thereafter, of course, Pashinyan recognized Hambardzum Matevosyan's action and appointed him as his advisor.
