Peru's Congress Votes to Declare Mexico's President Undesirable Person

The International Affairs Committee of the Peruvian Congress voted on Monday in favor of declaring Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador an undesirable person (persona non grata) due to his criticisms of the South American republic's authorities. This was reported by the TASS agency.

"The International Affairs Committee approved the resolution with eleven votes in favor, condemning the statements made by Mexican President Andres Lopez Obrador and declaring him persona non grata," stated the announcement on the Congress's Twitter page.

Now, the initiative is expected to be considered by the plenary session of Congress.
