Parents of War Victims Cease Sit-in, Reassess Protest Strategy

Parents of victims from the 44-day war have decided to end their round-the-clock sit-in in front of the government building, which was initiated in support of Gayane Hakobyan. They announced this during a conversation with reporters.

It was also revealed that lawyers Vahan Hovhannisyan, Ruben Melikyan, and Vahan Gevorgyan have ceased their representation of Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan.

"We agree with the view that the legal means for defending Gayane Hakobyan have been exhausted. After consulting among ourselves as parents, we decided to end this form of protest, namely the sit-in," they announced.
