Kremlin Hopeful for Productive Meetings Between Pashinyan and Aliyev with Putin: Dmitry Peskov
The Kremlin is hopeful that the meetings between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with President Vladimir Putin will be productive. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
“On Thursday, both President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan will be here. We expect communications with our president, and the preparatory work for these discussions is underway. Of course, we would like to hope that they will be effective,” Peskov noted.
It is worth noting that on May 18, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing the meeting during a government session, stated: “We have received an offer from the Russian side to hold a trilateral summit in Moscow on May 25 under the mediation of the Russian president. We have accepted this proposal.”
