VIDEO: What Ashot Pashinyan Told the Prime Minister About His Abduction
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, did not urge his son to withdraw the complaint filed against Gayane Hakobyan. He stated this during a press conference held today. Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the attempted abduction of his son, Ashot Pashinyan.
“When the first conversation took place, my son deprived me of the chance to make such a request or appeal to him,” said Pashinyan. According to him, when the issue was legally addressed, he was not in the country. In the conversation he had with his son, Ashot justified his complaint by emphasizing that their struggle has always aimed at resolving issues through legal means.
“He said, ‘How can I respond to that fact? Let’s say, should I also take my friends or members of my group and take some retaliatory action, or respond to disrespect with disrespect, or a threat with a threat, or an abduction with an abduction?’ He told me, ‘Naturally, that is unacceptable, and everyone in Armenia should recognize that issues must be resolved through legal avenues,’” Pashinyan recounted his conversation with his son to reporters.
It is important to recall that on May 17, information was circulated regarding an attempted abduction of the Prime Minister's son, Ashot Pashinyan.
