The Imprisonment of Fallen Soldier Zhora Martirosyan's Mother is Not a Preventive Measure but a Punishment: Tovmasyan

I just came out of the "Abovyan" penitentiary. I went to visit Mrs. Gayane, who has been sentenced to a month of detention in connection with the abduction case of Ashot Pashinyan. This was reported by the Chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan, on her Facebook page.

"Mrs. Gayane was in good spirits, her will strong... She asked me to convey her thanks to the parents of the fallen soldiers who are illuminating the front of the Government building and fighting day and night. She also expressed gratitude to the unknown people who have gone to Yerablur to lay flowers at her son Zhora Martirosyan's grave. 'Let us be strong, let us be firm, I hope justice will prevail,' said Mrs. Gayane.

Of course, no child should be held accountable for their parent's actions, but the discrimination manifested against Gayane Hakobyan is truly unacceptable. It is evident that the imprisonment of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan's mother is not a preventive measure but a punishment. Selective justice is the most abhorrent thing that operates under Nikol Pashinyan's regime," she noted.
