Supporters of Gayane Hakobyan Spent the Night at Republic Square

Participants of the protest demanding the release of Gayane Hakobyan, mother of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan from the 44-day war, spent the night at Republic Square.

It is noteworthy that earlier, a court detained Gayane Hakobyan for one month in connection with the alleged kidnapping of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's son, Ashot Pashinyan. This led to the march of her supporters.

Previously, we reported that parents of fallen servicemen had announced an indefinite sit-in in front of the government.

Recall that on May 17, the newspaper owned by the Prime Minister's family, "Haykakan Zhamanak," reported that members of the NGO "Voices of the Fallen" attempted to kidnap the Prime Minister's son. According to the paper, the parents of the fallen soldiers forced Ashot Pashinyan to get into their car, but he managed to jump out of the vehicle when it briefly stopped, leading to him being hit by another vehicle following behind that belonged to the same organization.

Later, it became known that the report filed by Ashot Pashinyan with the Armenian police has been transferred to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, a criminal case has been opened on the charge of abduction, and one person, Gayane Hakobyan, has been arrested.
