According to journalists, the family of the Russian Foreign Minister arrived in Kakheti to participate in a lavish wedding.

Reports indicate that the brother of Russian businessman Alexander Vinokurov, who is Lavrov’s son-in-law, is getting married.

Georgian media reports that the wedding is set to be celebrated at the Kvareli Lake Resort complex, prompting the hotel to close its doors to other guests.

Another venue mentioned is the Akhasheni Wine Resort & Spa. Both hotels have issued statements claiming that no guests by the name of Lavrov are currently staying at their properties. The management of Akhasheni Wine Resort & Spa did not clarify the presence of any guests named Vinokurova.

Akhasheni Wine Resort & Spa has made another announcement stating that no events, including weddings, are planned to take place there.

Mtavari TV reported that one of their journalists called the hotel, pretending to be a flower delivery person. The journalist mentioned that a bouquet had been ordered in the name of Yekaterina Lavrova and inquired if the guest had already arrived at the location. The hotel representative asked for time to clarify, after which they confirmed that the bouquet could be sent.

Several media outlets in Georgia have submitted inquiries to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and are awaiting clarification on this information.
