It is known what was discussed in the meeting between the ruling party members and Pashinyan
There was a closed-door meeting yesterday between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and members of the ruling party, lasting over two hours. The daily newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that it came as a surprise to the ruling party members that Pashinyan was going to the National Assembly. They learned at the last minute that a meeting with the Prime Minister was scheduled and hurried to the National Assembly.
The media notes that not all members of the ruling party were present at the meeting with the Prime Minister, as some were on business trips. Besides the parliamentarians, Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan and Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan were also in attendance.
'The main agenda of the meeting was the discussions that took place in Brussels on Sunday between Pashinyan, Aliyev, and Michel, as well as the four-day session of the National Assembly scheduled for next week. Pashinyan presented the details of the Brussels meeting, summarizing the results, while the ruling party members mainly played the role of listeners, with only a few of them asking questions to Pashinyan,' the newspaper writes.
Although Pashinyan stated that he has not been able to reach an agreement with Azerbaijan on several important issues, he and the ruling party members generally assessed the Brussels meeting positively. It is noted that the Prime Minister did not address the upcoming meetings in Moscow and Chișinău.
At the end of the meeting, current issues related to domestic politics, party activities, and the four-day session were discussed.
Recall that on May 14, a meeting took place in Brussels between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and President of the European Council Charles Michel. After the trilateral meeting, Charles Michel announced that the next step would be the delimitation based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, which implies the recognition of Armenia's territorial integrity within the limits of 29,800 square kilometers and Azerbaijan's within 86,600 square kilometers.
During the meeting, issues related to the unblocking of regional transportation and economic infrastructure, the resolution of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as humanitarian issues concerning prisoners, missing persons, and others were discussed.
