Early Voting for Turkey's Election Second Round Begins in Russia

Early voting for the second round of Turkey's presidential elections has commenced on Saturday at the Turkish embassy in Moscow, according to a reporter from RIA Novosti.

The polling station will be open for three days—from Saturday to Monday—from 8 AM to 10 PM. In addition to Moscow, Turkish citizens residing in Russia will also be able to vote at consulates in St. Petersburg, Kazan, and Novorossiysk.

“After the voting closes, all ballots will be sent to Turkey for counting,” said Mehmet Samsar, the Turkish ambassador in Moscow, who was among the first to vote on Saturday along with his wife. “I hope all our compatriots will also participate in the voting process,” the ambassador stated.

The early voting for the second round of universal elections in Turkey is taking place in 77 countries worldwide. The Turkish side had previously announced that there are 3,416,098 registered voters abroad.
