Some Progress Has Been Recorded: Mirzoyan on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
In the context of the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, some progress has already been recorded regarding several provisions of the proposed peace treaty. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
"I would like to emphasize that there is some understanding on a number of issues, including the unblocking of communication routes, delimitation and demarcation based on the Alma-Ata declaration," said Mirzoyan.
He also highlighted the importance of preventing further escalations and the use of force. Mirzoyan reiterated that Armenia is committed to all trilateral statements made by the leaders of the three countries.
He stressed that the Armenian side will engage constructively in these negotiations.
It is noteworthy that prior to the trilateral meeting, Sergey Lavrov had held bilateral meetings with Mirzoyan and Bayramov.
