State Duma Plans to Ban Polish Trucks from Travelling Through Russia
The State Duma of Russia plans to prohibit trucks from Poland from transiting through Russia starting June 1. This is reported by Izvestia.
The author of the legislative initiative is Yevgeny Moskvichev, head of the Duma's Committee on the Development of Transport Infrastructure. Moskvichev described this decision as a retaliatory measure in response to the seizure of the Russian embassy school in Warsaw on April 29.
It is also proposed to increase the price of diesel fuel for Polish trucks refueling at gas stations in the Russian Federation by 1.5 to 2 times.
