In March 2022, Russia was prepared to sign an agreement regarding the resolution of the conflict that was not advantageous for itself. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

“If Russia were to justify it now, it would go crazy. It was absolutely not beneficial for Russia. But Russia agreed,” said Lukashenko.

According to him, Minsk had proposed to sit down at the negotiating table.

Subsequently, negotiations took place in Belarus and Turkey. As soon as Russia agreed to the peace initiatives, the agreement, the draft was thrown in the trash, declared the Belarusian president, adding that there is this draft of the agreement on his table.
