VIDEO: We Need a 'Normal Person' as the Next U.S. President, Says Elon Musk
American businessman Elon Musk stated in an interview with CNBC correspondent David Farber on Tuesday that he would like to see a "normal person" in the position of President of the United States.
Musk mentioned that he voted for current President Joe Biden in the last election and believes that Biden was indeed elected through the voting process, despite the claims of his predecessor, Donald Trump.
In response to Farber's clarifying question about whether Musk regrets his vote, he said: "... I would like the president to be a normal person. That’s what I want... You know, there's an old saying that we are better off being led by randomly selected people from the phone book rather than by Harvard professors. I don't know who said it, but someone very wise. And I would say, if we could do that with the president, that would be awesome."
When it was pointed out that Musk seems clearly dissatisfied with Biden, he added: "Don't we all want a normal person to be president?"
Musk emphasized that America needs someone who will be a good manager: "There are many decisions that need to be made every day. Many of them are not related to moral beliefs. And you just need a good manager who will say that he is the CEO of America... We need a good CEO of America who will truly be effective."
