VIDEO: Optimus Humanoid Robot Delicately Taps an Egg Without Breaking It

Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus, has learned to recognize and grasp objects. The company has also improved the walking capabilities of its robots, which now walk without slipping.

During the annual shareholders meeting, Tesla released a video demonstrating the enhanced capabilities of the Optimus humanoid robots.

The robots can scan and remember their surroundings to create a digital map of the area. As shown in the video, the robot is trained to interact with objects with the assistance of humans. The robot’s actuator mechanisms simply mimic human movements, allowing the robot to learn optimal actions based on living examples.

Furthermore, Tesla is training the robot to move its hands along complex trajectories and to handle soft or fragile objects with intricate shapes.

During the annual meeting with shareholders, Tesla CEO Elon Musk reiterated that over time, the robots will generate significant revenue for Tesla, with a projected market of 10-20 million units. The estimated price of such a robot will be around $20,000, and its software will be based on the same artificial intelligence system used in the company's electric vehicles.
