VIDEO: An International Registry for Losses Caused by Russian Military Actions Has Been Established

At the European Council summit in Iceland, a political declaration was signed to create a registry of damages caused by Russia's military actions against Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmyhal.

“Our goal is to create a comprehensive compensation mechanism that will ensure that Russia pays full compensation to Ukraine in accordance with international law. In particular, based on Russian assets worldwide. Together with our partners, we are moving toward this goal,” said Shmyhal.

43 states have approved the agreement on registering damages caused by military actions, which is a step towards possible compensation. Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bosnia, Hungary, Serbia, and Turkey refused to sign.
