Intruder Breaks into Sullivan's Home: The Washington Post
Late at night, an unidentified individual broke into the home of Jake Sullivan, U.S. President Joe Biden's national security adviser, remaining undetected by security personnel. The Washington Post reported that the incident, which occurred nearly two weeks ago, is under investigation by the U.S. Secret Service.
Citing three anonymous officials, the newspaper notes that the intruder entered Sullivan's residence in late April, around 3 AM. When confronted by the stranger, Sullivan demanded that he leave.
Sullivan is monitored around the clock by the Secret Service. However, agents stationed outside were unaware of the home invasion in a Washington West End neighborhood until the intruder had departed, at which point Sullivan went outside to alert them, the Washington Post reported.
The intruder appeared to be intoxicated and was seemingly unaware of his location. There is no evidence that he knew Sullivan or intended to harm him.
