Our Policy Towards Russia Will Not Change: Erdogan

The current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has assured that the state policy towards Russia will not change after the leadership elections, the second round of which will take place on May 28, according to TASS.

“We will continue the same policy that we were pursuing before the elections. We do not intend to change our approach towards Russia, the USA, China, and the West, with whom we maintain relations; we will continue in the same spirit,” Erdogan said on Tuesday during a broadcast on CNN Turk.

Earlier, Ahmet Yener, head of Turkey's Central Election Commission, announced that the second round of presidential elections would be held in the country on May 28.

On the morning of May 15, it was reported that the current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, collected 49.35% of the votes in the presidential elections, following the counting of 100% of the ballots, while his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu received 45%.
