How Can We Be Indifferent to the Security Issues of a Segment of Our People? - Aghazaryan
Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly's Civil Contract faction, has positively assessed the Brussels statement, noting that Azerbaijan's territorial integrity has been recognized since 1991.
"My assessment remains the same: the issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and those concerning Artsakh and Azerbaijan, should be differentiated. We, as a state, declare and reaffirm our recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, and Azerbaijan does the same. If you are aware, our compatriots in Artsakh have been fighting for their independence for 30 years; hence, this is a separate issue," Aghazaryan stated in an interview with Aysor.am.
In response to remarks from the media regarding statements emanating from Artsakh and Armenia, suggesting that Yerevan has "washed its hands off Artsakh," Aghazaryan replied, "They are boldly lying. How can we be indifferent to the security issues of a segment of our people?"
