VIDEO: Gunfire and Tear Gas Used in Kurdish City of Cizre, Turkey
Gunfire and tear gas are being used in Cizre, a Kurdish city in Turkey's Şırnak province. Reports have come from the Bagramyan 26 Telegram channel.
Supporters of the Justice and Development Party (Erdogan's party) are firing indiscriminately. Additionally, a large group of police has "coincidentally" deployed tear gas.
Turkish human rights defender İsmail Akbulut noted that Şırnak has voted in favor of the Green Left Party (YSP) and against Erdogan.
It is important to mention that so far, no candidate has surpassed the 50% threshold after processing 100% of the ballots in the Turkish presidential elections. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan holds 49.24%, while Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has 45.06%.
