After the Bryansk Incidents, Lukashenko Has Put Troops on High Alert

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has announced that the country's troops have been put on high combat readiness following the incidents in the Bryansk region, according to BelTA.

“Three days after the events that took place here, I mean in the Bryansk region, where four aircraft were shot down, we had to respond to that. Since then, our troops have been placed on high alert,” Lukashenko stated during a visit to the central command point of the Air Force and Air Defense (AFAD).

“I am interested in the current situation in the country and, of course, in the directions and prospects for the development of this situation shortly. Without frightening anyone. About what is happening and what we expect in the short term,” the president added.

The information regarding Lukashenko's presence at the central command point of the Air Force and Air Defense was reported by the Telegram channel “Pul Pervogo,” which is close to his press service.

Earlier, foreign media had reported on rumors concerning the possible illness of the Belarusian president. The Kremlin has declined to comment on these reports.
