Participation in Turkey's Presidential Elections Exceeds 88%

According to preliminary data, participation in Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections has reached 88.19%, TRT reports. Additionally, participation at Turkey's foreign representative offices in 73 countries and at border checkpoints is reported to be 45.5%.

Earlier reports indicated that incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is receiving 53.62% of the votes in the presidential elections. His main opponent, opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, is garnering 40.42% of the votes. Meanwhile, ATA alliance candidate Sinan Oğan is receiving 5.4%.

Prior to this, the head of Turkey's Supreme Election Council (YSK), Ahmet Yener, announced that voting in the republic has concluded without any identified issues.
