Israel Reopens Border Crossings with Gaza
Israel reopened the border crossings with the Gaza Strip on Sunday. This was reported by tass.ru, citing the press service of the country's Ministry of Defense.
The reopening occurred after a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave, where since May 9, the Israeli army has been conducting Operation "Shield and Arrow," targeting members of the Islamic Jihad militant group that has fired rockets into Israeli territory.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense reopened the Kerem Shalom and Erez crossings located at the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip. According to The Times of Israel, over the past five days, Gaza militants have launched more than 1,200 rockets at Israel, while the Israeli army has responded with strikes on around 350 targets within the enclave.
