Armenian-Russian University Appoints New Rector

The Armenian-Russian University held a General Assembly (Conference) on May 12, focused on the election of a new rector. This was reported by the university's press service.

Delegates elected from the faculty, administration, and students cast their votes in a closed secret ballot, resulting in 216 votes in favor and 147 against. Professor Edward Sandoyan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, has been elected to the position of rector. Prior to the voting, another candidate for the position, Professor Pargev Avetisyan, Doctor of Political Sciences, announced his withdrawal from the race.
